Kavalan’s Solist series is renowned for its high quality, and this ex-Bourbon cask bottling is no exception.

For this bottling, the Taiwanese distillery have aged the single malt in a former Bourbon cask for six years. In Taiwan, the climate and temperature accelerate the aging process, meaning that six years produces a richer and more characterful dram than you might expect.

This whisky offers up notes of toasted coconut flakes, vanilla, cornbread, honey, subtle nutmeg and cinnamon spice, charred oak, bright apples, crunchy malt, honey and apricots.

Bottled at a cask strength of 58.6%, and without colouring or chill filtration, this is a full bodied and powerful dram.
