A cracking Highland Park, bottled by Elgin veterans Gordon and MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice range.

This whisky was distilled at the Orkney distillery in 2001, and bottled on the 10th of September 2019, having been aged for 17 years in a single first fill Bourbon barrel.

The whisky opens with some wisps of maritime peat, shortly followed by a little green apple, pear and crunchy malt. Notes of creamy vanilla, sweet melon, Bourbon oak, peppery spice, toffee and sea salt are also present.

An old school whisky with a classic Highland Park profile.

The dram is bottled at a robust cask strength of 56.5% ABV, and without either chill filtration or colouration, ensuring a whisky full in both body and flavour.

Only 174 bottles were produced.
