A new whisky from the renown North Highland distillery, Dornoch was initially released only on the travel retail market. Happily a few bottles have found their way to our shelves. Glenmorangie’s distillery sits on the edge of a large sea inlet known as the Dornach Firth, an area of great natural beauty and diversity. The distillery has partnered with the Marine Conservation Society for this special release, to assist in preserving their environment for local wildlife.
The whisky itself is bottled at 43% and uses some lightly peated spirit in the vatting. They also make use of the rarely seen Amontillado casks, which adds warming spices to the final product. A lovely classic Glenmorangie bottling, with a slight twist- warm, fudgey and slightly smoky, this is not one to miss!
