A delicious bottling from Glenglassaugh from their superb Rare Cask Release series.

This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2009, and has been aged for 10 years in a single Oloroso sherry puncheon cask.

The result is a decadent and rich offering, which serves up notes of sultanas, prunes, dried cherry, clove studded oranges, dark chocolate, weighty malt, vanilla, nutmeg, peppery spice, toffee, deep oak and marmalade. A little grilled pineapple emerges on the finish.

A classic Sherried Speysider, bottled at a fiery cask strength of 57.9%.

Just 685 bottles were produced, each individually labelled and numbered.
