The spirit has matured in a mixture of Oloroso Sherry hogsheads (numbers 3032, 3046 and 3047) and butts (numbers 3048 and 3051) for over 8 years. Oloroso Sherry maturation is the speciality of Glenfarclas, and it shows here, producing a whisky rich in sherried fruits, nuts, baking spices and honey. It is a typical Glenfarclas in every respect. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, and is neither coloured nor chill filtered, allowing the natural flavours of the spirit to shine through, and its creamy mouthfeel to take hold. The whisky is presented in a delightful bottle featuring a charming scene of the distillery in a festive scene under a heavy snowfall.
