A limited edition whisky from Highland distillery Glencadam.
Massively underrated, Glencadam distils with upwards lyne arms, so to maximise reflux, creating a lighter, floral spirit. Though the distillery is nearly 200 years old, it is only in recent years it has begun to be rightfully lauded for its single malt.
This whisky was originally aged in Bourbon casks, before being finished in a trio of specially selected Port casks. Aged for 17 years in total, the whisky has had plenty of time to develop flavour and character.
The result is a dram that serves up sweet, toffee’d malt, plums, prunes, jammy raspberries, port, cinnamon, cloves, slight anise, vanilla, figs, allspice and dark chocolate.
This dram is bottled at 46% ABV and without either chill filtration or colouration, ensuring a rich, full bodied whisky.
