A lovely single cask Glencadam from Van Wees’s the Ultimate Whisky Co.

This dram, a 2011 vintage, has been aged for ten years in a single Bourbon barrel, offering a pure example of the distillery’s spirit.

The end product is a whisky that serves up plenty of Glencadam’s buttery, velvety character.

Drinkers should expect notes of gingerbread, peanut brittle, citrus rind, peaches, vanilla, brown sugar, clean grain, malt, honey, light oak and soft flowers.

Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration, this is a medium bodied, warming whisky.

Just 319 bottles were produced.
