Fettercairn is a distillery with a few official bottlings. The spirit has a nice balance between heavy and light, with a fruity, somewhat singed character. Fettercairn is a Highland distillery, found a little way north and inland from the famous resort town of Montrose.

This dram has been aged for an astonishing 28 years in a single Hogshead. The result is a deep and complex whisky, packed with notes of strawberries, cream, vanilla, toffee, dry oak, honey, almonds, citrus fruit, apples, warm barley, cloves and nutmeg.

Bottled at a generous cask strength of 51.4% ABV, and without either chill filtration or colouration, this is a beautiful, natural dram.
