Fettercairn 28 Year Old 1988 (Cask #2033 & #2034) - Signatory Cask Strength
70 cl, 52.9%

Another top quality “dual cask” bottling from legendary bottlers, Signatory Vintage. Here, the company have once again added to the excellent reputation of their Cask Strength series, with this fantastic bottling. Highland distillery Fettercairn are known for the traditional nature of their machinery, maintaining small stills and an open top mash turn, creating an intense and heavy still of spirit. Previous owners include Sir John Gladstone, father of four-time Prime Minister William Gladstone. This particular bottle was produced on the 7th of December 1988, and bottled on the 17th of April 2017, after 28 years of maturation in two Hogheads. The result is a densely flavoured and nutty whisky, with some caramel, toffee and herbal notes. This whisky is bottled at a fully-flavoured 52.9% ABV, and without either chill filtration or artificial colouration, allowing the spirit’s natural qualities to take hold. Just 478 bottles of this fabulous spirit were produced, so this is a truly unique whisky and highly limited in stock!
