Another excellent addition to the much-loved Signatory Vintage Cask Strength range.

This time round it is a superb Highland whisky from much overlooked distillery, Fettercairn. This distillery was founded in 1824, but has only recently seen distillery bottlings released.

Fettercairn is known for a heavier, quite oily and nutty style. That is certainly on show with this whisky, which has been aged for a whopping 28 years in a single hogshead (cask 2019). The whisky is a 1988 vintage.

Such a long cask maturation has produced a superb whisky, allowing the house style of the distillery to really get to grips with a gentle oak influence. The result is a spirit rich in warm cereals, nuts, orchard fruits, caramel, banana and toffee. The mouthfeel is oily and luscious.

This whisky is bottled at a cask strength of 57.5% ABV, without either chill filtration or artificial colouration, ensuring the flavours of the whisky really assert themselves.

Bottled in Signatory Vintage’s classic decanter style, this whisky also comes with the iconic Signatory Vintage gift tin.
