The bottling included is of El Dorado’s 12 year old, a centrepiece of their range. Unlike many rum brands, El Dorado adhere to whisky standards of age statement, meaning that 12 years is the age of the youngest rum in the blend, rather than an average or maximum age.

El Dorado is made in the Demerera region of Guyana, an area world famous for its high quality sugar. The rum is distilled in three unique stills, a wooden Enmore double column still, French Savalle four-column and a Port Mourant double wooden pot still (which previously belonged to the Royal Navy).

After a long period of aging in the tropical heat of Guyana, this rum is packed full of complex flavours such as plums, prunes, banana, toffee, apples, vanilla, coffee, leather, dried fruits, cinnamon, molasses, burnt sugar and old oak. It has a warming, thick mouthfeel.

The delicious rum is packed with not one, but two El Dorado glasses, perfect for sharing a tot with a friend.
