Another excellent vintage release from this small scale distillery in Lannemaignan, a town in the Gers region. This part of West Armagnac is famed for the quality of the spirit it produces, which is called Bas-Armagnac. In this region, the grapes grow in stony, slightly acidic ground, giving the spirit a unique and exquisite flavour. The Domaine is managed by Michel Lamothe, it has a strong commitment to traditional methods, using old-fashioned continuous Armagnac alembics to distil their spirit. This is reflected in the quality of the spirit: a rich, fruity, offering, with just the right influence from the French Oak cask and a lingering finish. An excellent, flavoursome spirit, benefiting from being bottled at the higher strength of 46% and non chill-filtered.
