The fifth small batch single malt release from Dingle Distillery, one of the most exciting new distilleries in Irish whiskey.
Dingle Distillery was only founded in 2012, but has quickly gained a good reputation for producing high quality, youthful single malt whiskies. This particular offering has been aged in a combination of former Bourbon barrels, and ex-Pedro Ximenez and Madeira casks.
The final result is a rich, complex dram with the different cask varieties complementing one another perfectly. Dingle Single Malt Batch No. 5 serves up notes of vanilla custard, salted caramel, rich sweet sherry, toasted nuts, tiramisu, dried fruits, sweet grapes, cinnamon, apples, grassy malt and bright Bourbony oak.
The bottling is presented at 46.5% ABV and without chill filtration.
