Another delicious cask finish whisky from Deanston distillery.
This dram has been aged for 14 years in refill oak casks, followed by a 3 year finish in Pinot Noir red wine casks. Pinot Noir is famed for its light bodied fruitiness, perfect for lending a depth of character to single malt whisky.
The result is a fruity, complex Deanston that offers up notes of lemon rind, flowers, red grapes and cherries, apples, pears, vanilla, oak, gooseberry, red wine acidity and some toasty malt.
Bottled at a strength of 50% ABV, this whisky is presented free from chill filtration, ensuring a full bodied, intense dram.
