A marvelous expression from Chateau du Tariquet’s Vintage range of Armagnac. Chateau du Tariquet is known for being one of the largest vineyards in the Armagnac, but also one of the highest quality producers. Tariquet creates a style known as “Bas-Armagnac”, which grows on hilly, rocky and acidic ground. This may sound inhospitable, but is in-fact perfect for the cultivation of delicious grapes for Armagnac. Chateau du Tariquet have a commitment to tradition, using direct wood-fired alembics. They also only use grape and wine produced on their own estate. This beautiful Armagnac was bottled in 2013, after 19 years maturation in French oak casks, resulting in a delicious spirit, rich with oakiness, luxurious fruits and beautiful vanilla notes. A gorgeous vintage Armagnac.
