A brilliant addition to Camus Cognac’s range of ultra-terroir cognacs, this brandy was both distilled and matured on the small island of Île de Ré, found just off the coast of Cognac. As such, the island is still considered part of the Cognac region, falling under the Bois Ordinaires cru. As the spirit spends its whole life on this speck of land in the Atlantic ocean, it enjoys a distinctive maritime note, quite unusual for most Cognacs. The finish particularly, brings coastal, oily salty notes, which makes this Cognac an excellent accompaniment to cured meat and fish dishes. A Fine Island indeed, this is a Cognac unlike any other, and one all fans of the spirit should try.
