Of the previous 5 Octomore releases, there has only been a “.1” and every other time a “.2” version, but with this 6th release they have expanded the range to now include the 06.3! The 06.3 pushes what everyone thought was possible in terms of pure ppm levels – it clocks in at a blistering 258 ppm, the , by far, highest levels ever seen! It also bears the words “Islay barley” as part of its name, meaning it is made only from barley grown locally on Islay. It is aged for a period of “only” 5 years, which, as you know, is the sweet sport for the Octomore range. This impressive beast of a whisky is bottled at a bilstering strength of 64% ABV, and is, of course, completely unadulterated. A milestone in whisky making!
