Batch 1 of Benromach’s new Cask Strength 2008 vintages.
Bottled in 2019, following ten years of maturation in a combination of Bourbon and first fill Sherry casks.
The result is a powerful, delicious Speyside dram, which serves up notes of black pepper, dried apricot, dark chocolate, orange juice, espresso, caramel, blackberries, apples, pears, dates, a little wood smoke, tobacco, banana and vanilla pod.
Really high quality whisky from this little distillery, that almost leans a little Campbeltown in style at times.
Bottled at a cask strength of 57.9% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a fully natural dram.
Just 5,500 bottles were produced.
