A whisky of a truly rare quality, from Speyside distillery Benromach. This bottling forms part of Benromach’s superb Heritage range.

This single vintage whisky was first distilled in 1977, this has been aged for just under 40 years, in a single refill American Hogshead (cask 1268). This long aging has imparted plenty of wonderful complexity to this dram.

The bottling offers up a wonderfully waxy mouthfeel, with notes of ginger, bananas, clementines, pears, liquorice, apples, tobacco, honey, malt, mint, eucalyptus, flowers, dried fruits, white peach, old oak, aniseed, black currant, nutmeg, grapefruit and orange juice. A surprisingly fruity and fresh whisky for its age.

This dram is bottled at a cask strength of 56% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, allowing the whisky’s natural qualities to really shine.

Just 225 bottles were produced, each coming with their own handsome presentation box.
