A tasty looking single cask whisky from Benromach, which has been bottled exclusively for the well-respected Holland-based Van Wees bottling company.
Matured for around 12 years in a first fill Bourbon barrel (the rather pleasing cask no. 99), this is a powerful Speyside whisky, that offers up flavours of green apples, warm hay, toasted malt, lemon, biscuits, pastry, icing sugar, cinnamon, toffee, honey and cream.
Bottled at a hefty 59.2% ABV, this whisky is presented free from colouration or chill filtration. As a result, the dram possesses a tremendous mouthfeel and intensity.
Another cracker of a barrel pick from Van Wees, this will appeal to all Speyside fans.
