Wolfburn only began production in 2013, and as such, much of their spirit is still very young.

Nevertheless, the distillery has produced some extremely high quality, small batch whisky in this brief period. This is one such bottling, which makes use of half-sized former Bourbon barrel to inject a bit of oak and age into the spirit rapidly.

The result is an extremely crisp, fresh whisky. Notes of fresh pastry, apples and pears, earthy spice, toasted coconut, custard, sea spray and charred oak make themselves immediately apparent. Some apricot and citrus fruit follows, giving this young dram exceptional complexity.

Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration, this is a full-bodied, full flavoured whisky.
