A lovely Sherried dram from mainland Scotland’s most northerly distillery, Wolfburn.
This whisky was distilled in 2013, and has been aged in a single refill Oloroso Sherry cask for seven years, ensuring a fruity, spicy whisky.
The Sherry cask was sourced from the Valdivia Bodgeas of José Y Miguel Martin.
The end result is a Wolfburn whisky that offers flavours of apricots, sour cherries, dried fruits, lemons, subtle oak, some floral honey, sweet malt, raspberry jam, black pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Just 603 bottles were produced.
