Much like their entry level blended whiskey, the Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old is a blend of three different types of all three different types of Irish whiskey. It is comprised of a very high proportion of malt and pot still whiskey, aged in a mix of bourbon and sherry cask, for a period of 12–15 years. The final product is very smooth and with great complexity and flavour.
