A new blended whisky from the White Oak distillery in Akashi, which has been producing spirit off and on since 1888. Indeed, the distillery only procures whisky for one month a year, and therefore their production and availability is small. It’s not wholly clear if this is a mix of malt whiskies of malt and grain, but Akashi produces both styles so perhaps the latter is more likely. Nevertheless, this is a crisp, fresh and delicious blend, with a bright apple note, and classic Japanese harmony. The name translates as “fragrance of time”, so expect a good nose on this one! A lovely little Japanese whisky, definitely worth trying.
