Maybe the most coastally flavoured of all the island whiskies, Tobermory has a unique flavour profile that we just can’t get enough of! Tobermory is known for two things: the brightly coloured houses and cottages that line its charming streets, and for a distillery that produces a beguiling and delicious malt whisky. This 21 year old bottling is an example of that fascinating spirit, rich in savoury, grassy notes with touches of sea spray and spice. The spirit has been finished Manzanilla sherry casks, adding a dry, grapey note. The whisky is also presented at a healthy 53.8% ABV, and without either colouration or chill-filtration, allowing the spirit’s natural flavours to take hold. Presented in a simple, neat bottle, the bold colour scheme perhaps reflect the Isle of Mull’s famously decorated houses. An intriguing and delicious whisky, well worth a try!
