A high quality white Agricole produced by Reunion distillery, Savanna.
The spirit is distilled from the fermented juice of the sugarcane, producing a spirit that is lighter, grassier and more fragrant than its molasses-based cousins.
Savanna distil their sugar cane juice as quickly as possible after fermentation, in order to preserve its freshness. Fermentation last two days, and distillation occurs in a copper column Savalle still. This rum was made using the 2018 harvest of sugar cane, sourced from the Bois-Rouge sugar factory. The batch was produced in April 2019.
The final product is a refreshing, bright Rhum Agricole, with notes of vanilla, almond flakes, lime rind, peppery spice, powdered white sugar and succulent sugar cane. This version has been bottled at 52% ABV for a greater intensity.
Delicious splashed over ice, or made into a classic Ti’ Punch. Only 2,800 bottles were made.
