Non-Kentucky Bourbons are going from strength to strength in America, and this release is no exception! A cracking bottling from the mountainous and forbidding state of Montana! This whiskey is a blend of four different Bourbon recipes, all produced in-house, and containing varying amounts of corn, wheat, rye and malt in the mashbill. These whiskies are matured individually, before being married together, creating a whiskey of exceptional complexity and flavour. The whisky is produced using pure Montana mountain spring water and distilled in two copper pot stills, before aging in fresh American white oak barrels with a heavy char.

On the nose, the drinker is greeted with notes of vanilla, toasted oak, nuts, leather, toffee and orange peel. The palate brings a buttery mouthfeel, with flavours of floral honey, chocolate, burnt sugar, woodspice and cherry. The finish is medium in length, with an earthy oak, nutmeg and cinnamon, and a little bitter mocha. A surprising and interesting Bourbon which is slightly less sweet than the average.
