A cracking single cask dram from Pulteney Distillery, bottled by the Ultimate Whisky Company.

This whisky was distilled in May 2008, and bottled in June 2020, having enjoyed a finish in a sherry cask for some time.

The result is a dram that perfectly captures Pulteney’s signature maritime style, whilst adding a layer of sherried complexity.

Drinkers should expect notes of subtle pineapple, apricot, bananas, apples, pears, caramel, dried fruits, red berries, vanilla, nuts, plums and warm leather. A little sea spray and citrus fruit brings through the Pulteney character.

Bottled at a cask strength of 56.6%, this is a full bodied dram from the Dutch bottlers.

Just 691 bottles were drawn from the single cask.
