Another excellent single-origin rum from Plantation.

This 2008 vintage was distilled in Trinidad, and aged in the Caribbean in former Bourbon barrels for 10 years, before being transported to France, where it was finished in Maison Ferrand casks for another 12 months.

The result is a deeply complex and characterful rum which delivers flavours of milk chocolate, mango, pineapple, coconut, lemon, orange zest, tobacco, slight Cognac spice, dark oak, dried fruits and nutmeg.

Bottled at 42% ABV for a touch more body and intensity, this is a beautiful sipping rum.
