The second bottling in Penderyn’s series which celebrates Icons of Wales.

The eagle eyed amongst you might note that the bottle’s box features the signatures of those who signed the American Declaration of Independence in 1776. “What’s this got to do with Wales?” You might ask, but as it turns out, Thomas Jefferson, the third president of American was said to be of Welsh extraction. Indeed, in 1933 a US State Department official unveiled a plaque at Llanfair Ceiriog, the inscription reading "To the memory of a great Welshman, Thomas Jefferson." A further 15 of the 56 signatories had some Welsh roots.

This limited edition single malt has been finished in Madeira casks, imparting a succulent sweetness to the spirit. This dram offers up flavours of fresh green apples, cream, fudge, raisins, grassy malt, orange, lemon, dried fruits, light oak and gentle spices, sweet wine and candied ginger.

A soft and delicate single malt which rewards patient drinking.

Each bottling comes wrapped in a copy of the Declaration, alongside a quill.
