A terrific cask finished gin from the Osmoz brand, which is produced by the famous Vallet Cognac family.

This gin is called Osmoz as the brand like to think of it as in “osmosis” with their Cognac products: made from the same grapes, and sometimes using Cognac and Pineau casks to produce a spirit with something of a Cognac-like profile.

This gin has been finished in casks of Pineau des Charentes, an aperitif of South Western France, which is made by combining grape must or juice with Cognac eau-de-ive, before maturation in oak casks.

The effect on the gin is to provide a light oaky, fruit flavour and an amber hue. Osmoz pineau gin serves up notes of oak, vanilla, almond, juniper, sweet grapes, honey, flowers, green apples and toffee.

A delicious gin, best served over ice.
