An extremely mature single cask Cognac from the Normandin-Mercier house.
As with many older Cognacs, the records are a little muddy, but its highly likely that this is a spirit distilled in 1970 (hence, Lot 70), and bottled in 2021 with an age of around 50 years.
After such a long maturation, the final product is a sumptuous, rich and complex Cognac.
This dram possesses flavours of grape blossom, orange rind, vanilla, dense spicy oak, pepper, cinnamon, black liquorice, toffee, chocolate, coffee and syrupy figs.
Bottled at 45% for extra body and warmth, just 54 bottles were produced.
