An classic blended whisky from Japanese giants, Nikka.
Perfect for highballs, this is an approachable and easy drinking dram. The bottling contains spirit distilled at the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries – and was introduced prior to the reforms in Japanese labelling.
The whisky itself is light and approachable, with notes of gentle vanilla, lemon rind, malty biscuit, toffee, apples, sweet grain, pears, blonde oak and a touch of spice.
This bottling features the famous “King of Blenders” motif on the label, apparently based on W.P. Lowrie of Lowrie’s blended Scotch, but also Sir Walter Raleigh.
