A classic rendition of Mortlach’s meaty malt from Van Wees’ Ultimate Whisky Company.
This dram was distilled in June, 2008, and bottled in March, 2021, having aged for 12 years in a single Bourbon barrel.
The result is a supple, approachable whisky with notes of vanilla, thick malt, barley, pineapple, citrus rind, mango, banana, black tea, Bourbon cinnamon and nutmeg spice, creamy oak and syrupy peaches.
Quite a tropical Bourbon cask! This whisky has been bottled at 46%, with only 304 bottles produced.
