The Matusalem 23 Gran Reserva is produced in the Dominican Republic, according to a recipe dating back to Cuba in 1872. It is aged using a solera system, and is said to be 23 year old on average. This rum is characterized by a rich aroma of fruit, toffee, and honey, while the palate is rich a creamy with a long and warming finish. A very fine sipper.
