A magnificent limited edition from stalwart Islay distillers, Lagavulin.

The much-loved Distiller’s Edition sees the slightly maritime Islay peat of this malt whisky paired with the sweet, dense and spicy flavours of Pedro Ximénez sherry. This bottling is the 2001 vintage, bottled in 2017.

Drinkers should expect flavours smouldering oak, sea spray, raisins, sultanas, sweet wine, toffee, dark chocolate and peaty espresso. Bottled at 43% ABV, this slight increase in proof makes a big difference in flavour, giving the whisky a bit more kick.

Lagavulin Distiller’s Edition is presented with smart green accents on the label, to differentiate it from the standard 16 year old.
