A big old bottle of this small batch whiskey from Jim Beam. Knob Creek was first created by Bourbon legend Booker Noe.
The bottling takes its name from the creek near where Abraham Lincoln was born.
Knob Creek is designed to recreate the flavour of old school pre-prohibition Bourbon. The whiskey is made with a mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% barley. Knob Creek is aged in new American oak barrels with a number 4 char.
This whiskey is aged longer than the standard Jim Beam, and is matured in warmer sections of the rickhouse, ensuring that the spirit soaks up all the flavour compounds in the wood.
This Bourbon possesses flavours of bright corn, cinnamon, polished oak, rye, boiled sweets, candied apples, leather, cedarwood, orange peel, vanilla, honey, milk chocolate, dried mint, toffee, cloves and nutmeg.
Bottled at 50% ABV, this is a fiery dram.
