The revamped version of Fuji Sanroku 50o , this whisky is famed by Kirin for its “spreading aroma”.
The bottling contains a mixture of whiskies, which are handpicked by Jota Tanaka, the Master Blender of Fuji Gotemba distillery. About one-tenth of this whisky is 20 year old single malt, with the rest said to have been bottled at the “peak of maturation”.
The whisky itself serves up heaps of bright, sweet cereal flavours, with a little warm malt, chewy chocolate, fizzy oak and light floral character.
Bottled at 50% ABV and without chill filtration, this is a satisfyingly creamy and delicious whisky.
