A beautifully bottling that forms part of Signatory’s much-loved Un-Chillfiltered line. This bottling has been drawn from a pair of Hogsheads, numbers 801155 and 801160.
Inchgower is a little known distillery found close to Speyside’s coast. As such they produce a maritime style of malt with a spicy character, partly produced by the short fermentation and hot second water. Waxy and slightly flinty, Inchgower recalls its northern counterparts, Clynelish and Old Pulteney.
This cracking 10 year old offers a great taste of what this distillery has to offer, with rich orchard and tropical fruit flavours, crisp oak, sugared barley, salted caramel, vanilla and peppery spice.
Bottled at 46% ABV, and presented without either colouration or chill filtration (as ever with this series), this is a supple, full malt.
A succulent whisky, which represents fantastic value.
