Henriot Brut Souverain Champagne
75 cl, 12%

An elegant non-vintage offering from the Henriot Champagne House.

Dating back to 1808, Henriot is found in the city of Reims, in the Champagne region. Fiercely independent, Henriot is one of the few remaining family-owned houses in the industry. The family’s meticulous approach, a constant from generation to generation, ensures a consistently excellent product.

“What makes our champagne so special is that it is sourced from beautiful terroirs, mostly Grand & Premier Cru vineyards. Thanks to our independent status, I can dedicate the time and care they require to craft the most luminous champagnes and perpetuate the unique style of the House.”

Laurent Fresnet, Cellar Master

Brut Souverian is produced using mostly Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs region, known for its delicate and light flavours. Alongside this grape is a little Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims area, and about 8% of Pinot Meunier grape, for balance and fruitiness. Aged for four years on lees prior to disgorgement, this makes for a more characterful and flavoursome final product.

The final product is a sophisticated and precise Champagne, with notes of white flowers (lilies and honeysuckle), lemon, vanilla, cream, brioche, green apples and pears. The wine possesses a fine and exuberant effervescence.
