Grosperrin N°28 Borderies Cognac (Lot N°430)
70 cl, 53.8%

A Cognac of an extraordinary quality bottled by Grosperrin.

This spirit, from the Borderies region, has been aged for very, very many years. Grosperrin acquired the spirit from the widow of a wine grower who inherited her husband’s collection of Cognac.

At almost 100 years old, the matriarch belongs to a family of wine growers that have been located in Burie, in the very heart of the Borderies cru, for over 90 years. The estate is now run by her grandson, who operates the thirty hectare property across two sites. They are renowned for the high quality of the eaux-de-vie they produce across the industry.

The spirit was aged in an extremely dry cellar, which maintained the Cognac’s high level of alcohol.

Cognac N°28 serves up notes of candied orange rind, turmeric, sweet stem ginger, delicate rancio, fresh bright grapes, dried fruits, oily nuts, dense vanilla, old oak and a little dark chocolate.

Bottled at 53.8% ABV, this is a rich, full bodied Cognac that will appeal to fans of Cask Strength spirit.
