An interesting peaty bottling from Glenturret distillery forming part of their rebranded 2020 Maiden Releases.

This redesign came as Glenturret sought to step out of the shadows of Famous Grouse brand, following the distillery’s sale by Edrington in 2018.

Aged for ten years, and bottled at a warming 50%, this bottling serves up tonnes of body and flavour.

Drinkers should expect thick peat smoke, with zesty citrus rind, dark chocolate and cacao nibs, burnt malt, heather honey, espresso, chilli smouldering oak, salted caramel, all with an oily mouthfeel.

This is a radical reimagining of the Glenturret spirit, which long time fans of the distillery will be surprised by.
