A typical whisky from the Glenrothes distillery will be comprised of whisky from both sherry and bourbon casks, but not this release. The Alba Reserve is from a selection of the finest American oak (Quercus Alba) ex-bourbon barrels which imparts lots of vanilla and coconut. In Gaelic, “Alba” means Scotland.
