Ooft! A fearsome Glenlossie joins the ranks of Gordon and MacPhail’s superb Cask Strength range.
Bottled at a fiery 61.7% ABV, this is not a dram for the faint hearted!
Glenlossie is mostly used as an ingredient in the numerous Diageo blends, the spirit has a slightly green, grassy style.
This particular Glenlossie has been aged for nine years in a first fill sherry butt, imparting a wonderful juicy profile, packed with fruity flavours.
Indeed, the whisky serves up notes of fresh peaches, plums, grapes, apricots, sweet sherry, dried fruit, dark oak, vanilla, dark chocolate and espresso, alongside a core of burnt malt and grassy grain.
Alongside the powerful cask strength, this whisky is non chill filtered and natural in colour – an entirely natural whisky.
Youthful and lively, this is a wonderful dram at a great price point.
