A delightful single cask, single vintage whisky from one of our favourite distilleries, Glenfarclas.

This bottling forms part of the distillery’s highly esteemed Family Cask range. The series, first introduced in 2007, has become one of the most respected in the whisky industry, offering an archive of liquid history, with single vintage bottlings going back as far as the 1950s.

This particular bottling was distilled in 1995, and matured for around 23 years in a single sherry butt, having been bottled in 2018.

The result is a classic Glenfarclas profile, with rich notes of nutty Oloroso sherry, alongside flavours of dense leather, dark chocolate, citrus rind, burnt malt, a little struck match note, tobacco smoke, salted caramel, toasted rye bread, prunes, cherries, banana, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottled at a cask strength of 51.6% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a wonderful iteration of ‘Farclas, that truly allows the house style to shine.

A sweeter style of Oloroso-matured spirit, this whisky is limited to just 609 bottles.
