This Glendronach has no relation to any political institution. Rather, it is named after the collection of Rooks that nest close to the distillery.

One of the very finest bottlings in the Glendronach stable – the distillery prides itself on being the “sherry cask connoisseurs”, something they demonstrate with this superb, heavily sherried offering.

A different beast to the sherry-bomb 18 year old, this offers slightly more dignified flavours of soft oak, vanilla, golden malt, bread, alongside the heavier sherried notes of dark prunes, cherries, raspberries, sweet wine, Christmas spices and dense tea cake.

Bottled at a robust 48% ABV, this really gives a little of an edge to this whisky, increasing the intensity of the flavours considerably.This miniature is great chance to try this superb Glendronach without committing to the cost of a full bottle.
