A small batch whisky from Glen Keith, bottled by Signatory for their much loved Cask Strength range.
Glen Keith is an often overlooked distillery known for its slender, long armed stills which produce a light, fruity spirit – classic Speyside.
This particular offering has been aged in a pair of Hogshead casks (numbers 72589 and 72590) for 22 years, having been distilled on the 26th of May 1997 and bottled on the 11th of October 2019.
The bottling serves up flavours of apple, cream, hay-like malt, light flowers, toffee, apricot, subtle raspberry, peach, ginger biscuits, vanilla custard and slight aniseed.
A fruity, soft and complex whisky, which belies its 55.3% ABV with eminent drinkability. No chill filtration or colouration have been used in the production of this dram.
522 bottles were produced from the two casks.
