A fascinating 10 year old Japanese single malt whisky, presented very much like a sake or shochu.

Produced at the Monde Shuzo distillery and winery, the whisky is named Fujikai due to its close proximity to Mount Fuji, and its location in the former Kai Province.

This whisky has been matured in former Bourbon casks. The spirit itself has a herbaceous, grassy character, with some slight peat smoke, dark oak and earthy malt. Sharp grain flavours add a little spark.

This dram is bottled at 43% ABV, giving it a little kick.

Just 8,808 bottles of this whisky were produced worldwide.
