A limited edition single malt whisky from the nascent Eden Mill distillery and brewery, found in St. Andrews, in the Lowland region.

The distillery was only founded in 2012, and began making whisky two years later. At this point, it became the first combined brewery and distillery in Scotland. Before the distillery’s establishment, there had been no distilling in St. Andrews for 150 years.

The 2019 limited edition release has been aged in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads and American Bourbon barrels. The vatting also includes a cask of chocolate malt spirit (think Glenmorangie Signet) and crystal malt spirit (usually used for beer).

The result is a rich, sherried dram with notes of vanilla fudge, chili spice, chocolate, light oak, rich malt, dried fruits, pepper, biscuits, cinnamon and apples.

Eden Mill have collaborated with Hilke MacIntyre, a Fife-based artist to create the artwork for the whisky’s box. MacIntyre’s label features famous local landmarks from around St. Andrews.

The dram has been bottled at 46.5% ABV, and is limited to just 3,000 bottles.
