A superb vintage or “Millésime” offering from Guadeloupean distillery, Damoiseau.
This is a Rhum Agricole, meaning it is made with the fermented juice of the sugar cane, rather than with molasses or Demerara. This makes for a more fragrant and fresh spirit, prized for its subtly.
Damoiseau have honed their skills over 70 years, and know a thing or two about creating superb spirits. This is an excellent example of their produced: a fantastic rum which has been aged for 10 years in oak casks, a relatively lengthy period in the heat and humidity of the West Indies.
Drinkers can expect a fragrant cane note, rich flavours of cedarwood and oak, tropical fruit flavours, toffee, bananas, slight tobacco, creamy vanilla, nutmeg and bright mango.
A terrific rum in every regard, this is one that Agricole fans will not want to miss out on.
